In an interview with CNN, Clinton said she was “shocked” and “sick” when she heard about the sexual assault allegations and said she would donate money Weinstein contributed to her political campaigns to charity.

“What other people are saying, what my former colleagues are saying, is they’re going to donate it to charity, and of course I will do that,” she said. “I give 10% of my income to charity every year, this will be part of that. There’s no—there’s no doubt about it.”

According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Weinstein directly donated $21,400 to Clinton between 1999 and 2016 and also donated $33,590.45 to the Hillary Clinton Victory Fund, per the Federal Election Commission filings, among other contributions.

During the interview, the former 2016 presidential nominee said she once considered Weinstein a friend, but did not know about his alleged sexual misconduct. Since the New York Times first published a report about allegations against Weinstein, numerous other women have come forward to share their own experiences with the Hollywood executive.
