Hannah Brown is receiving backlash on social media for posting a photo of herself with a “tone-deaf” caption amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The former Bachelorette star has been making headlines alongside castmate Tyler Cameron for failing to social distance and adhere to health guidelines during the pandemic.
On Saturday, Brown shared a bikini-clad photo with a questionable caption, raising many eyebrows.
“What’s more contagious than a smile. Just trying to spread some love here rather than fear, not making light of the situation, ” the post read, along with a prayer emoji.
Fans responded to the reality TV star with the obvious response.
“Coronavirus, Hannah brown. Coronavirus,” one user wrote on Twitter, where the photo has gone viral.
The coronavirus has infected more than 300,000 people worldwide, and is “literally” more contagious than any smile, as many online pointed out.
“I am losing my mind at this caption,” another wrote.
Some called Brown “tone-deaf.”
“Is Hannah Brown really this tone deaf? Hate to see it. Do better, ” Twitter user @willakane_ admonished.
Some urged Instagram to “ban” all of Cameron and Brown’s “irresponsible” posts.
“I wish they could ban them! What they are doing is just not right, they are like making a joke out of a serious situation, and who knows if they even know if they might have corona virus, and if they do they are taking a chance of spreading it, guess they don’t know it kills,” Twitter user @Sweetiz48Meyer stated.
