A Fox News TV psychiatrist just said the nuttiest thing ever about abortion

This might be the dumbest thing anyone has ever said on Fox News. And that’s saying something.

It’s an undeniable fact that women don’t have much control over their own bodies. There are restrictions on access to birth control, as well as restrictions on abortion rights. Now, a Fox News contributor believes that even if a woman can legally get an abortion, the father of the child should be able to veto the procedure.

Dr. Keith Ablow is the conservative network’s resident psychiatrist, and he was on Outnumbered on Tuesday to talk about Sofia Vergara’s creepy ex-fiance’s fight to get his hands on the frozen embryos they created when they were still a couple. Nick Loeb, Vergara’s ex-boyfriend, has filed a lawsuit to gain rights to the embryos.

Naturally, most people think Loeb’s lawsuit is pretty gross. But not Dr. Ablow!

“Good for him,” he said on the Outnumbered couch, surrounded by four women who didn’t even flinch at his remarks. “Why would a woman’s right to decide what to do with a frozen embryo trump a man’s right every time? If he wants to bring these embryos to term, good for him. He wants to parent. If he wants to have them adopted, good for him. You know what, it’s not a coin toss. It’s whoever wants that potential being to survive, that’s who wins.”

As if those comments weren’t outlandish enough, he decided to add more fuel to the flames.

“I’ve been outspoken on this, I think men should be able to veto women’s abortions if they’re willing to care for the child after it’s born.”

Between this, and The Blaze’s #HowToSpotAFeminist shtick, it’s been a really strong week for conservative trolls.
