Nicole Geneseo, 21, turned herself in Tuesday in Bay County (an hour north of Flint) after a warrant was issued for her arrest. She is being charged with one count of larceny in a building, second-degree home invasion and conspiracy to commit a crime.

In August, Geneseo and her friend Logan Finn, 22, made plans via Facebook to break into the home of Marcus Burgess while he was away on a business trip. The pair communicated back-and-forth in private Facebook messages.

“my friend is out of town in grand rapids working and left his wallet at home and he always has like 2-3 hundred on him at a time,” wrote Geneseo in a message on Facebook, according to court documents.

“im serious lets do it im sure theres somin around the place if he dont have loot in the wallet,” replied Finn. He told police he did not know who Burgess was.

They followed through with their plan and stole Burgess’s PlayStation 3 and $160 in cash from his wallet.  After Burgess posted on his Facebook that he had been robbed, a friend contacted him with a printout of the private conversation between Geneseo and Finn, which he turned over to police.

The pair is no stranger to the law.

Finn, who is addicted to OxyContin, according to his brother, reportedly traded the PlayStation 3 for six pills of the prescription painkiller. He was arraigned earlier this month and is currently waiting to accept a plea offer from a Circuit Court.

Geneseo’s brother told police that she was in a rehabilitation clinic for her heroin addiction, and a warrant was issued for her arrest.  She will face a preliminary examination in a Bay County District Court on Nov. 6.
