A gun shop in Odessa, Texas, has turned a Glock into a replica of the classic Nintendo Zapper, better known as the Duck Hunt gun for NES

Precision Syndicate, LLC came up with this bit of violent nostalgia for a customer. Oh, and it’s still fully functional, too.

Some have been critical of the customization, pointing out that it’s not really a Nintendo Zapper because, well, it’s an actual weapon. Others are worried that the gun looks a little too kid-friendly for comfort.

“This generation’s parents” have been thrown under the bus, presumably because whoever wanted the NES Glock has procreated and isn’t just going to use it to play IRL Duck Hunt on their property and start to catch the feels about the good old days of gaming.

As Precision Syndicate, LLC notes, this isn’t the first time such a customization has been made.

Miculek.com took the extra step of not only customizing a Glock but sending it out into the wild with legendary competitive shooter Jerry Miculek. The marksman gamely dresses up as Mario. Yoshi dies. Shit gets real.

Friendly reminder that guns are dangerous and Glocks are actually terrible weapons for duck hunting. Cue laughing Duck Hunt dog.
