With over 72 hours of footage uploaded every minute, it’s physically impossible to keep track of the content on YouTube. But in YouTube Guide, the Daily Dot will curate its five favorite finds for each workday.
1) Felicia Day, “The Guild”
Good news, Felicia Day fans: The Guild is back! The long-running geek comedy returned yesterday for its sixth season, on track with the Knights of Good. This season, Day’s character Codex is expected to start what Geek and Sundry’s describing as her “dream job,” working on her favorite game (a multi-massively multiplayer online role-playing game appropriately called “The Game”).
2) A whole slew of celebrities, “Vote 4 Stuff”
If you could vote for one thing this election season, what would you choose? Joseph Gordon-Levitt would vote to end dubstep, right now. Selena Gomez would vote for baby update regulations. Sarah Silverman would choose to put gays in the military—exclusively. Jonah Hill would vote for… look, just get out there and vote next month, okay?
3) PBS Idea Channel, “Is Doctor Who a Religion?”
It goes without saying that the fan base for the classic TV show Doctor Who is somewhat of a massive conglomerate. But just how influential are they? According to PBS’ Mike Rugnetta, Whovians may be big enough to warrant their own religion. In fact, they may actually be their own religion.
4) NOC, “Presidential Debate 2012: Obama vs. Romney Kiss Chicken”
The first presidential debate may be tonight, but this afternoon, the competition’s all about which candidate is more scared to kiss the other. It’s a showdown until the final pucker.
5) Nerdist Channel, “Fangoria’s Blood and Guts”
Anthrax’s Scott Ian stops by the studio of legendary blood and guts FX artist Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) to see what it takes to make a prop look gory. This is the series premiere of “Blood and Guts,” and it comes with a warning: Keep an eye out for “graphic, bloody, awesome fake violence.”
