The original Star Wars trilogy, the cult classic science-fiction movie series created by George Lucas in the ’70s and ’80s, is about to be released  on Blu-ray—with what many fans are calling unwelcome additions.

Some changes to the original movies are minor, like having the little teddy-bear creatures known as Ewoks blink. Star Wars enthusiasts, though, say other changes ruin the drama in certain scenes. Case in point, archvilliain Darth Vader saying “NOOOO” when he chucks his “master” off a steep edge.

Michael Kaminski, author of “The Secret History of Star Wars” and creator of the site Save Star Wars, said he found the added Vader dialogue the most upsetting.

“You don’t need to have him explaining his thoughts—you knew the dilemma he was going through,” said Kaminski. “You don’t need his thoughts externalized in such a cliché way. The silence in the original was sophisticated in that way.”
