Here at the Daily Dot, we have an unofficial tradition of sharing GIF images with each other every morning. Now we’re looping you into the circle. In the Morning GIF, we’ll feature a popular—or just plain cool—GIF we found on Reddit, Canvas, or elsewhere on the Internet.
You know how the Internet is: relentlessly self-referential, meme-laden, and even meta. On Thursday, however, it outdid itself by creating the phenomenon known as GIF Bomb Lady.
The first GIF appeared when a grandmotherly figure with a Captain & Tenille hairdo stepped in front of a shot of former San Antonio Spur David Robinson at a Texas Longhorns basketball game. That animation has since collected more than 18,000 notes and inspired a Tumblr.
Created by comedian Nate Smith and his Internet friend Sam, GIF Bomb Lady is available by request to GIF bomb your favorite GIFs—or you may create your own GIF bomb.
In the age of loser-generated content, why not work out your passive-aggressive Grandma issues with a few harmless GIF-bombings? Raw material may be found within the Daily Dot’s own archives.
Here are two of our favorites, featuring Jerry Seinfeld and Nintendo’s Duck Hunt.
