Any dedicated fan of Nintendo‘s golden NES era fondly remembers the box art that came with ye old cartridges of yore. While the graphics are archaic by today’s standards, there’s something about those boxes that still captures our imagination and drums up a sense of joy. Since we feel that way after growing up with these games, hanging them on your walls seems appropriate.
The folks at ThinkGeek must have the same feeling. The retailer is now offering four new canvases that look exactly like the box art of several classic NES titles. Measuring at 19 x 13 inches, you can get Duck Hunt, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda or Metroid to grace your walls. If you can’t seem to choose, you could just throw caution to the wind and buy all four (probably the wisest course of action). Since each is $15.99, that shouldn’t set you back too much.
Officially licensed by Nintendo, the only problem we can find with these is that there aren’t enough of them. Can we get Dragon Quest? Mega Man? Ninja Gaiden? Castlevania?
