Michigan House’s “vagina” ban inspires Twitter hashtags

The floor of the Michigan House of Representatives is apparently the sort of place where you’re not allowed to use words that describe certain body parts—”vagina” for example.

On Twitter, though, there are no such restrictions.

After word spread that two female Representatives had been banned from speaking further about abortion on the Michigan House floor on Thursday—reportedly because they said the forbidden v-word—Twitter users went vagina-crazy. Both #vaginamovielines and #vaginamovietitles became top trending topics in the U.S.
