Trump went on Twitter to say the US was locked and loaded

As tensions between President Donald Trump and North Korea continue to ratchet up, the president continues to use Twitter to draw lines in the sand against the secluded nation.

On Friday morning, Trump tweeted about Kim Jong-un and the country’s nuclear rhetoric, saying that the United States military was “locked and loaded.”

“Military solutions are now fully in place, locked and loaded, should North Korea act unwisely.  Hopefully Kim Jong Un will find another path!” Trump tweeted.

The tweet is the latest in a war of words that have erupted between Trump and North Korea in the past week. The president has made provocative warnings against the country three times this week – including threatening the nation with “fire and fury.”

In response, North Korea has threatened to send missiles at Guam, a small island territory of the United States with strategic military bases. Trump followed up the “locked and loaded” tweet by retweeting the U.S. Pacific Command, which posted photos of its bombers.

The United Nations levied sanctions against North Korea earlier this month for its continued testing of nuclear bombs and missiles. The country has reportedly created nuclear weapons capable of being outfitted on an intercontinental ballistic missile.
