A lot happened the night before of the Alabama senate election today. There's a lot to unpack as the race between Roy Moore and Doug Jones winds down.

As the Alabama Senate election reaches the finish line, a flurry of activity around Roy Moore and Doug Jones’ race bubbled to the surface on Monday night.

The election, which has received national attention amid a number of women coming forward to say Moore engaged in sexual misconduct—including sexual assault and attempted rape—when they were minors, will be decided today.

Here’s a quick rundown of what happened in Alabama on Monday night.

  • “One of our attorneys is a Jew:” Kayla Moore, Roy Moore’s wife, insisted on Monday night that her husband was not a bigot after he attacked George Soros, a liberal donor, last week. “Fake news would tell you that we don’t care for Jews. And I tell you all this because I’ve seen it and I just want to set the record straight while they’re here,” she said. “One of our attorneys is a Jew. We have very close friends that are Jewish, and rabbis, and we also fellowship with them,” Kayla Moore said during a campaign rally, eliciting laughter from the crowd. Kayla Moore also said criticism that Moore did not “support the Black community” was unfounded because he “appointed the very first Black marshal to the Alabama Supreme Court, Mr. Willie James.” She added that, “when he first took office as the chief justice many years ago he brought with him three people from Etowah County. Two were Black, and one of them is here tonight.”

  • Fellow Vietnam vet says he and Moore wound up at a brothel with ‘young girls:’  Bill Sailing, who served with Moore in Vietnam, spoke at the same campaign rally. Sailing said he, Moore ,and a third man were celebrating their friend’s last night in the country and went to get a “couple of beers” at a “private club.” Sailing said they were essentially tricked into going into a brothel, where there “were certainly pretty girls. And they were girls. They were young. Some were probably very young, I don’t know.” Moore apparently said the three of them “shouldn’t be here” and left.

  • Could new names enter the race?: A liberal SuperPAC is urging voters to write in University of Alabama head coach Nick Saban and Auburn University head coach Gus Malzahn during Tuesday’s election, according to ABC News. The SuperPAC, American Bridge 21st Century, is running two 15-second Facebook ads, the news outlet reports.
  • Trump makes one last push: This morning the president made the final case for Roy Moore on Twitter, saying the people of Alabama will “do the right thing.”
