Apple introduced a special edition iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus on Monday, a PRODUCT(RED) model. Proceeds from sales of the crimson handset, like other PRODUCT(RED) items, go toward providing testing, counseling, and treatment for those living with HIV/AIDS.
Popular YouTuber and Apple reviewer Marques Brownlee shared an excellent unboxing video of the device, and people are loving it. You can check out the video below.
The PRODUCT(RED) iPhone 8 is exactly the same as the existing iPhone 8 announced back in September, save for the new color. The phone goes on sale Friday, April 13, starting at $699, but is available for pre-order now. Along with these bright-red handsets, Apple is also debuting some matching accessories. This includes a $99 iPhone X Leather Folio case, so iPhone X owners can protect their phone while contributing to a good cause. Apple has a number of other red, and PRODUCT(RED) items available on its website.
Apple has had a partnership with (RED) for 11 years now and has raised more than $160 million for HIV/AIDS support programs.
