Today, students across America walked out of their schools in protest of America’s scourge of gun violence.
(As you may know, thanks to absurdly high gun ownership rates, the number of Americans killed by guns vastly outnumbers any other nation in the developed world. Hence, support for gun control, which would prevent access to weapons, would… do we have to keep doing this?)
And these students’ anger—which has boiled over since the shooting in Parkland, Florida, which left 17 dead—is aimed at the one organization that works to keep gun laws as lax as possible: the National Rifle Association.
The kids even made some cool, funny signs about it.

So, being threatened by children, the NRA decided to lash out. At children.
I’ll control my own guns, thank you. #2A #NRA pic.twitter.com/jqbZzwcWf6

“Let’s point a gun at the kids who are protesting having a gunman shoot up their school” apparently appears to be the tactic the NRA is going with here.
Cool.
(Also, Americans are notoriously bad at controlling their own guns as the extremely high rate of gun deaths shows, which is the thing children are protesting, but LOL. WHATEVER.)
Anyway, after Florida passed legislation aimed at preventing a mass shooting like the one at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, the NRA sued the state. The NRA is not vengeful and powerful. Nope, not at all.
