Last night at the Republican National Convention was an amazing showcase for the species politico. From the Ron Paul supporters chanting in support of their (absent) hero to Ann Romney’s misty-eyed high school reminiscences to perhaps the largest collection of blue suits ever gathered anywhere to the enthusiastic guy in the Yuengling beer hat, it was a cornucopia of Republican Americana.
And the greatest of these was Rick Santorum.
Oh, not for his infamous nomenclature. Nor for his sometimes-controversial views. Not even for his unquestionably dapper way with a blue suit and tie. No, Santorum is our one and only choice for the Morning GIF today for his incredible speech, in which he returned to the same theme time and time again, like any good rhetorician. Let’s give him a hand.
He only needs one more to make it an even 20.
Referencing “hand” 19 times in his speech, Santorum clearly wants to leave you with this takeaway: that Rick Santorum is handsy. Mission accomplished.
