There are approximately two zillion people running for president right now, so it’s no surprise that average Americans can’t recognize all of them on sight.
With Donald Trump clogging up every news cycle, many of the second-tier Republican candidates have understandably fallen off the radar. But as this Jimmy Kimmel segment proves, many people can’t even recognize supposedly well-known figures like Rand Paul and Hillary Clinton.
Kimmel sent a correspondent out onto the street to see how many people could pick presidential candidates out of a lineup of similar contenders—for example, actor Jimmy Smits playing his presidential candidate character from The West Wing. The results were far from promising.
Looks like many of these candidates need to work on their brand recognition.
