Jimmy Carter is perhaps the most popular ex-president of our lifetimes with all of his charity work, his love of Kiss Cam, and his general genial manner.
And when he flies commercially, he’s damn sure going to shake everybody’s hand.
At least he did this past week when a passenger on a flight from Atlanta to Washington D.C. took video of Carter and good-looking bolo tie glad-handing everybody in view.

“I was definitely shocked,” James Parker Sheffield told Fox 13 News. “Who expects a president to be on their commercial flight, let alone making an effort to greet every passenger? Everyone seemed genuinely excited and the overall sentiment was that it was really nice to have that kind of moment where party or politics didn’t matter. … He didn’t say much, because he was also trying to be mindful of the flight needing to leave, but that smile said everything for him.”
