Instagram is finally bringing Stories to its mobile and desktop sites.
The company announced on Thursday that the Snapchat clone will soon be featured on the top of your feed on Instagram.com.
Stories on the web look and act the same as they do on the Instagram app. Just go to the home page and tap on one of your friend’s circular icons to see their collection of videos and photos. Unlike the app, there will be left and right arrows if you want to skip or go back to a story.
More than 250 million people now use Stories on Instagram, an impressive figure considering it has only been out for a year and has already topped Snapchat’s version.
Previously, the feature was only accessible through the mobile app. Instagram says it will be available in the “coming weeks” and that you’ll be able to post stories from its mobile site in the coming months. Instagram tells us you’ll only be able to view stories from the desktop site, not share them.
