A 2012 WikiLeaks release excluded emails detailing the transfer of €2 billion between the Central Syrian Bank and VTB Bank, which is operated by the Russian government, according to documents obtained by the Daily Dot. Layer 8 reporters Dell Cameron and Patrick Howell O’Neill have the scoop.

Facebook came under fire for censoring the 1972 Pulitzer Prize-winning photo commonly known as “Napalm Girl” on the grounds that it violated rules against child pornography. After the editor of Norway’s largest newspaper called CEO Mark Zuckerberg out for “abusing” his power, Facebook reinstated the photo.

Some naughty political pranksters are running Donald Trump ads on Pornhub. As Tom Chandler, one of the group members running the ads, explains to Layer 8’s Aaron Sankin, people’s me-time is the best moment to hit them with a political message. “That’s the time they’re thinking least about politics. You are having an intimate moment and then a quote from Trump, someone you may have publicly supported earlier in the day, pops up saying, ‘You have to treat women like shit.’ I think that’s really jarring and makes you confront how those different personalities exist within your own system.”

In easily the most horrific story of the day, an Ohio couple overdosed in their car with their children still seated in the back. Police then posted the graphic images on Facebook. Photographs of napalm bombs dropped on crying children = no go. Photographs of hideous child abuse and corpses, sure, why the hell not.
