Ten Democratic hopefuls looking to take on President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election will square off during the fifth 2020 Democratic debate tonight.

What time is the fifth 2020 Democratic debate?

The debate will begin at 8pm CT.  It will be moderated by MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell, NBC News correspondent Kristen Welker, and Washington Post reporter Ashley Parker.

Which candidates are in this debate?

The field has narrowed since the last debate in October. This time only 10 2020 hopefuls will take the stage.

To qualify for this debate, the candidates needed to get at least three percent in four qualified polls and donations from at least 165,000 unique donors—including a minimum of 600 per state in at least 20 states.

Some of the notable names who you’ve seen in past debates that will not be on the stage include former HUD Secretary Julian Castro—who did not meet the thresholds to qualify—and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, who dropped out of the race.
