President Donald Trump woke up on Sunday morning, and with Texas fighting the floods caused by Hurricane Harvey, he began tweeting about other topics.
Here was the first thing he posted.
A great book by a great guy, highly recommended! https://t.co/3jbDDN8YmJ

That’s the new book by Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke, who has caused controversy because of the four deaths that occurred in his jail in 2016, his threats of violence, and his anti-immigrant stances.
Twitter immediately responded to Trump’s book promotion.
Dire situation in Houston but never fear Trump to the rescue-promoting David Clarke new book. Maybe Amazon can deliver via drone to rooftops

Parts of Texas in ruins. But instead of an appeal for donations @Potus is trying to sell you a book by the NEXT corrupt sadist he’ll pardon: pic.twitter.com/zQVgd1oj8K

Nineteen minutes later, Trump turned his attention to Texas.
Great coordination between agencies at all levels of government. Continuing rains and flash floods are being dealt with. Thousands rescued.

Many people are now saying that this is the worst storm/hurricane they have ever seen. Good news is that we have great talent on the ground.

I will be going to Texas as soon as that trip can be made without causing disruption. The focus must be life and safety.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 27, 2017
Wow – Now experts are calling #Harvey a once in 500 year flood! We have an all out effort going, and going well!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 27, 2017
Going to a Cabinet Meeting (tele-conference) at 11:00 A.M. on #Harvey. Even experts have said they’ve never seen one like this!

But Trump also returned to an old standby—the U.S. relationship with Mexico.
With Mexico being one of the highest crime Nations in the world, we must have THE WALL. Mexico will pay for it through reimbursement/other.

We are in the NAFTA (worst trade deal ever made) renegotiation process with Mexico & Canada. Both being very difficult, may have to terminate?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 27, 2017
Trump also couldn’t stop himself for, once again, bragging about his 2016 election victory.
I will also be going to a wonderful state, Missouri, that I won by a lot in ’16. Dem C.M. is opposed to big tax cuts. Republican will win S!

Meanwhile, at least six people reportedly are dead from flooding in Texas.
