While most people will be barbecuing and watching a sky full of bursting colors on July 4, others will be celebrating in a different way. This proves true for the Twitterverse and its current viral trend, “Nothing but respect for MY president.” It all started with this tweet from a woman named Makenna Greenwald.
Stopped to clean @realDonaldTrump Hollywood Star. Nothing but respect for MY President. #RaisedRight pic.twitter.com/jL4sqx4rlh

The original tweet was posted toward the end of June. The photo showed Greenwald cleaning up President Donald Trump’s vandalized Hollywood star. Greenwald’s tweet was meant to show support for the president, but Twitter decided to take it in another direction by mocking her soon after.

Even Greenwald’s hashtag “RaisedRight” was used to ridicule her.

The trend took off a day prior to the Fourth of July and is now circulating on this patriotic day. Some are even gaining a Fourth of July theme.

Greenwald didn’t get the response she wanted, but she may have just made “summer cleaning” a thing—which isn’t a bad way to celebrate this Independence Day.
