Sexist trolls attack Mother Jones editor over gun control comments

Any prominent Twitter user who happens to be male and tweeting about gun control can probably expect to get pummeled with angry tweets in response. But one thing he won’t have to worry about is being harassed for his gender. 

Mother Jones coeditor Clara Jeffery became the latest prominent Twitterer to become the target of sexist trolls over the weekend, an all-too-common strategy opponents use to silence women with opinions. 

It didn’t work.
