No presidential candidate is immune to one of Jimmy Fallon’s games, not even the star of the second Republican presidential debate.
Whereas Donald Trump had to interview himself and Hillary Clinton was grilled by Fallon’s Trump, former HP CEO Carly Fiorina had an easier time of it. After talking about how she would make up songs for her grandchildren and her Yorkshire terriers, something she and her mother used to do, she showed off her vocal talents by singing one of the songs she would often sing to her dogs—to the tune of “Rock Around the Clock,” no less.
Fiorina, who is currently second only to Trump in recent polls, also talked about politics, religion, and how she went from being a secretary to a CEO to a presidential candidate. She explained why she wouldn’t want to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin like Trump would, noting that the GOP frontrunner and the Russian strongman have a lot in common.
And as for fellow candidate Ben Carson‘s recent comment that a Muslim should be “in charge of this nation”? Fiorina said she believed that people of faith made better leaders, but that it didn’t matter what religion you were.
“I think faith gives us humility, and empathy and optimism,” Fiorina said. “And I think those are important things.”
