Pro-Trump radio host and QAnon conspiracy theorist Bill Mitchell is in trouble with outraged fans who helped fund his campaign to move his studio to Washington, D.C., only to find he’d bought a condo in Miami, Florida.
Mitchell first presented the idea of moving his studio from Palm Beach, Florida, to D.C. on his “Your Voice America” internet show and on social media, telling listeners that the relocation would give him more access to congressional “movers and shakers” as well as bring him closer to all his “political friends.”
“All that stuff is very expensive,” he continued, “and if you want it, there’s a couple of ways you can do it.”
One great thing about living in DC will be that all my political friends from around the country all eventually go there so I get to see everyone! :-)

Before long, Mitchell had launched the Your Voice America 2020 Fund in April on GoFundMe with a target of $15,000—a crowdfunding campaign his supporters embraced which ended up raising a total of $14,280. However, when the deadline for Mitchell’s big move came and passed his fans began to get restless.
Then, on Aug. 10, he tweeted some pictures of his “new Miami home!”

Mitchell’s followers were livid, blasting him as a scam artist.

Bill totally ripped everyone off who donated for him to move to DC. He was given 15k. He used that as down payment for new home in Miami.

Some high profile pro-Trump personalities jumped in to criticize Mitchell.

Those who donated funded a Miami vacation and Bill’s living expenses.

As backlash began to arise, Mitchell countered by denying that the money was for a move to the capital at all.

“Although this GoFundMe has clearly been a general fund to support Your Voice America from the start as stated above, if anyone felt mislead that these funds were exclusively for a move to D.C., I’d be happy to issue a refund,” Mitchell updated on his GoFundMe page. “I endeavored to move to D.C. but fate provided a better MAGA opportunity in Miami.”
Conservative actress Mindy Robinson maintained that this story was bullshit and refused to entertain his denials, posting screenshots of Mitchell’s tweets asking supporters to fund the D.C. move and linking to the GoFundMe page.

Despite the rage, Mitchell claimed to all his fans that in researching a move to D.C. he was offered the opportunity “to literally change the social media experience for everyone in the Trump family” by heading to Miami but can’t discuss the details just yet.
