Infamous hacktivist collective Anonymous, which has long threatened all-out war on the government of the United States, finally took it right to the White House.

The group doxed Bo.

Doxing, for those non-Anonymous among us, is the releasing of personal information, including but not limited to home addresses, phone numbers, credit card and bank account numbers, criminal history, and whatever else Anonymous thinks might be incriminating or just embarrassing. The collected dossier is uploaded to a sharing website, usually Pastebin, and tweeted out for the world to help themselves.

OpVoiceless, a subgroup of Anonymous that focuses on animal welfare, claimed responsibility for doxing the First Dog. Since they were in this case doxing a Portuguese Water Dog and not a hostile government or shadowy defence contractor, the revelations were unlike any other in the long and fraught history of doxology.

According to the Pastebin dox:

Bo Obama you turned your back on the animal kingdom +devoted your life to serve the Govt Priviledged [sic] + living the finer life whilst dogs just like you get mistreated the world over! Instead of joining the 99% – you licked + panted your way to the very top!

The document goes on to list his home address, Twitter, Facebook, personal email, website, favorite recreational activities, private photos, parents, LinkedIn account, and Wikipedia page, among other sordid details. It even lists where his brother is living now.

This could be the greatest breach of puppy privacy in White House history.

We are not certain just what Bo did to draw the ire of Anonymous’s OpVoiceless, but it is clear these people intend to keep their government on a short leash.
