Amazon’s Prime Now—a “free” two-hour delivery service for Prime members—was meant for quickly delivering essential grocery goods to people’s front doors. While its catalog of products has grown over the years, it’s still missing some important items, and none more essential than booze.
Fortunately, the online retailer is now expanding the number of cities where Prime Now delivers alcohol. People lucky enough to be living in 12 U.S. cities will have the fortune of receiving alcoholic beverages in two hours. If your buzz is wearing off faster than you’d hope, you can shell out $7.99 (frankly, more than I spend on any single bottle of wine) to have it delivered within an hour.
According to Food & Wine, of the more than 30 cities that have Prime Now, these 12 can get some form of alcohol (wine, beer, and/or spirits) delivered:
Cincinnati
Chicago
Columbus, Ohio
Los Angeles
Minneapolis
New York City
Phoenix
Portland, Oregon
Richmond, Virginia
San Diego
San Francisco
Seattle
The online retailer has been hard at work going state to state gaining liquor permits. You can only cross your fingers and hope your city is next on the list.
