Midterm elections are the black sheep of the American civic calendar. Turnout is even lower than in presidential election years—when America still trails dozens of other countries in terms of voter participation—and the people who do turn out are older, whiter, and generally less representative of America as a whole than the presidential electorate. In addition, very few Americans even pay attention to what happens during these “off-year” contests.
Naturally, the only way to counter this apathy and disengagement is with adult beverages and political memes. On that note, the Daily Dot presents the 2014 Midterm Elections Drinking Game.
