A popular Instagram account was suspended after a photo of a naked woman breastfeeding while doing yoga went viral.

The account belongs to Amy Woodruff, the woman in the photo, and fans are gathering to support her and get the account back up, posting with the hashtag #savedaughterofthesun. More than 1,000 photos have used the hashtag so far, and an edited version of the photo featuring a rainbow background has become a minor meme.

Two years ago, Woodruff posted a photo on her blog of herself breastfeeding while doing yoga naked. Recently, she was interviewed by a site called Baby Center and the photo again gained attention, causing a heated debate online. Woodruff lives a simple life, by her own description. She lives in a tent in Hawaii, making jewelry. Her partner is a musician. After the article ran, her Instagram grew in followers and she received some negative attention for her lifestyle and choices.

The Huffington Post reached out to Instagram to find out why Woodruff’s account was shut down, and was provided with the following statement:

“Instagram has a clear set of community guidelines that make it clear what is and isn’t allowed. While we cannot comment on individual accounts, we followed our usual protocol on this occasion and took action on content that broke our community guidelines. We encourage people who come across content that makes them uncomfortable to report it to us using the built-in reporting tools next to every photo or video on Instagram.”

Instagram has had issues with breastfeeding photos before, having admitted it wrongfully suspended an account called The Leaky Boob in June. At the time, there were more than 60,000 breastfeeding photos on Instagram, most showing little to no nudity.

Considering Instagram’s previous change in position on breastfeeding photos, and the lack of explicit nudity in this particular image, it’s not entirely clear which community guidelines Woodruff broke.
