Pokémon Go players might encounter more spooky creatures than usual this week. But don’t worry: Your bravery won’t go unrewarded.
Niantic announced its first ever in-game event for Pokémon Go today, just in time to celebrate Halloween. From Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, you’ll see more Haunters, Gastlies, Zubats, and other seasonally appropriate critters popping up in the game. Even better, Niantic is showering us with candy.
“You’ll earn double the amount of candy every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon!” Niantic said in a blog post announcing the event. “Don’t forget your Buddy Pokémon, because they will help you earn candy four times as fast.”
Collecting double candy in Pokémon Go while you collect real candy on your neighborhood Trick or Treat walk? This is gonna be the best Halloween ever.
