Good luck sleeping tonight after watching this Facebook video of a massive spider carrying a mouse up the side of a fridge.
Jason Wormal of Queensland, Australia, uploaded the footage of his neighbor’s huntsman spider on Saturday, and it’s already been viewed over 9,000 times.
The leg span for a banded huntsman can be as large as 16 centimeters, the Guardian reports. For whatever it’s worth, an arachnid expert told the newspaper it was unlikely the spider killed the mouse.
Wormal posted an update on Facebook last night to let people know the spider is fine (as if anyone was worried that it couldn’t fend for itself): “We have named him Hermie, we have adopted him, and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella. Oh and he is now paying rent.”
