Marco Rubio has a warning for fellow Republicans: Don’t cheer WikiLeaks—we could be next.

The Florida senator and GOP presidential primary contender told ABC News in an interview this week that using leaked emails published by WikiLeaks to attack Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton sets a dangerous precedent in U.S. politics.

“As our intelligence agencies have said, these leaks are an effort by a foreign government to interfere with our electoral process, and I will not indulge it,” Rubio said. “Further, I want to warn my fellow Republicans who may want to capitalize politically on these leaks: Today it is the Democrats. Tomorrow it could be us.”

WikiLeaks, which is currently publishing 50,000 emails stolen from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, has pushed back against allegations that Russian hackers are the source of the Podesta emails, as well as those stolen from the Democratic National Committee, which WikiLeaks published this summer.

The Podesta emails have exposed no bombshells against Clinton, although they have produced a number of talking points for her political opponents—Republican nominee Donald Trump chief among them—including the full text of her paid speeches to Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs, which Clinton famously refused to release herself.

Rubio, however, says he will not be one of the people using this material against Clinton.

“I will not discuss any issue that has become public solely on the basis of WikiLeaks,” he said.
