An 18-year-old TikTok star died on the same day she announced her account was being shadowbanned.
Dazhariaa Quint Noyes, often known as “Dee,” died by suicide on Monday, the New York Post reported.
“Unfortunately she is no longer with us and has gone to a better place,” Noyes’s father said, according to the Sun.
“I just want to thank everyone for their love and support of my daughter,” he said.
Her parents confirmed Noyes’ cause of death on Facebook following speculation from fans.
According to OK! News, Noyes posted videos of herself singing and dancing and called it her “last post.” “Ok, I know I’m annoying y’all, this is my last post,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Monday.
Noyes also posted a video on her TikTok account claiming she was shadowbanned and referred her fans to another TikTok page on Monday.
“I’m shadowbanned , I’ll be posting more on @deesoswavyy,” she wrote to her 1.6 million followers.
Her original account hit 1 million followers four months ago, a milestone that she celebrated with balloons.
She was active on her @deesoswavyy account, where she boasts about 97,000 followers, as early as October of 2020.
In December, she thanked her fans for supporting her beauty line “Dee Beauty.”
On Monday, a boy she often made videos with posted a collage of their time together.
“I think it’s time to for me to let you go,” read part of @finessekidmike’s video text, “thank you for the memories we made together… you are not my person anymore so…”
@finessekidmike has over 120,000 followers on his own account.
Noyes also had a YouTube channel with more than 99,000 subscribers.
Condolences from fans are pouring in on her TikTok and Instagram accounts—as well as on @finessekidmike’s videos.
“RIP we lost an angel hope god is treating you good,” commented one user on one of her Instagram photos.
“Mental health is real!! Pls speak out, don’t suffer in silence,” wrote another user.
“Wow she was actually doing great in her upcoming career and she seem super happy w what she had going on. i love her page and im so sorry for everything,” another said.
Before Noyes’ cause of death was revealed, there was rampant speculation—both on her profile and @finessekidmike’s—about the circumstances surrounding it and about the two TikTokers’ relationship. The Sun reported that she experienced thoughts of suicide in the past.
A GoFundMe was reportedly set up on behalf of Noyes’ family. “I only wish she would have spoken to me about her stress and the thoughts of suicide,” a message from her father reads.
