Rapper, expressionist genius, and prankster warrior Lil B has publicly cursed Houston Rockets MVP finalist James Harden via Twitter. This would all be social media-driven nonsense, except that Thursday night Harden ended Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals with what appears to be a 6th Man-esque shoelace trip.
About that “curse”:
Go warriors @warriors and let James harden no he doing the Lil B cooking dance if he doing that flickin wrist or whipping he mark – Lil B

People that steal from Lil B will pay now or later all you have to do is pay respect to the original and the leader blind ones will – Lil B

B is referring to Harden’s penchant for co-opting his signature “cooking” dance move—wherein one hand stirs an imaginary pot. It’s a gesture the Rockets’ marketing people have used to help define Harden as a frenetic chef who cooks up flurries of points. But it’s also not original.

The dance in question has been a popular scoring celebration across sports for several years now. NFL running back LeGarrette Blount was the first pro to incorporate B’s scene into a touchdown celebration in 2011.
But Harden is the most high-profile athlete to ride its mechanics to marketing points in which the general public is prone to thinking the cooking move actually belongs to the Taco Bell spokesperson.
In light of that transgression, Lil B the Based God showed no mercy. The postgame highlights made a clear connection between Harden’s collapse and B’s proven ability to curse NBA stars.

Harden’s exit from the visiting sideline was about as frustrated as you’d imagine.

Game 3 is slated for Saturday night in Houston. Barring a wartime truce between B and Harden, expect more of the same.
