Friends who were filming themselves for a TikTok video at a McDonald’s in Rockford, Illinois, accidentally captured a very dramatic scene of an employee getting fired.
The video posted by @haleyelizabitch shows the friends are goofing around when loud chaos erupts behind the counter. The camera swivels to capture an employee marching out from the back, yelling profanities.
Someone who is presumably a manager tells the employee to “get out,” to which the employee responds “I will never come back up in here” and calls the manager a “gay-ass bitch.”
“You’re fired,” her boss responds.
Everyone who’s worked a minimum wage service job like McDonald’s knows it’s no walk in the park, and people in the comments were so ready to support the employee’s impassioned exit—up until she tossed out homophobia along with her goodbye.
“Y’all hyping her up when she says that?!” user @ben_swindell asked. “Nah this ain’t it.”
“I was ALMOST with her until she shouted something homophobic. I was SO CLOSE to being on her side,” agreed @enioeyment.
Others were stuck on the fact that one of the girls in the video is joking around when she says, “Hey guys, welcome to our channel.” Then the catastrophe behind the counter overtook the whole thing.
The video was also posted to Reddit’s r/PublicFreakout page, where people expressed support for the manager.
“Casually saying you’re fired when someone is acting like that and going back to work is pretty cool,” wrote u/HADESmusicundrgrnd.
But u/CueAnonsense had the real question we’re left with at the end of this display: “Did she say ‘you mcfucked up’ near the beginning of the dispute?”
“I sure mcfucking hope she did,” u/catz4dave replied.
