It’s been a tumultuous ride for Batman gamers today, as fans have reacted with mixed feelings to a slew of new information about the massively popular Arkham series.
The bad news is that the hotly anticipated game Batman: Arkham Knight has received its third delay. Developer Rocksteady Studios pushed the game’s release back three weeks; it will now be coming out on June 23, 2015.

Arkham Knight was originally supposed to be released on Oct. 14, 2014, but many gamers and the press felt that that date was far too ambitious. Until today, the game was set for a June 2, 2015, release, which seemed much more reasonable considering its massive scope. Evidently, Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. need 21 extra days to put that final layer of polish on the game.
Either way, fans online are a bit upset.

Recognizing the need to distract fans with something happy and shiny, Rocksteady accompanied its Arkham Knight delay announcement with a new gameplay trailer.
That’s not even all the Arkham news today. IGN Italy reports that Rocksteady plans to re-release both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City with newly remastered HD graphics this Christmas. Both games were rated T for Teen, while Arkham Knight will be given an M for Mature rating.
Expect a full written review of Batman: Arkham Knight in the next few months.
