Twitter fact-checked Trump on his ‘superpredators’ line since Chris Wallace wouldn’t.

The subject of law and order was certain to come up during Tuesday night’s debate.

President Donald Trump has made arguing that he is the only candidate who can keep the nation safe a signature of his campaign strategy.

When moderator Chris Wallace asked about crime, Trump brought up Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s 1994 crime bill, which has been since been criticized for its disproportionate impact on Black people.

Trump also claimed, inaccurately, that Biden called criminals “superpredators” back in the ’90s. In reality, that was Hillary Clinton.

The internet noticed immediately. “Get your facts right Trump,” chided one on Twitter.

“Trump is getting his ’90s conservative boogeymen mixed up. Hillary Clinton was the person who said superpredators, not Joe Biden,” tweeted NBC News reporter Ben Collins.
