After creating his TikTok account in late August, which features a series of comedic and lighthearted reaction videos under the guise of angry voiceovers, Johnson has quickly gained traction on the platform and currently touts over 3 million followers.

The well-known TikToker first gained notoriety on the platform after he posted a duet video showing support to another user who was decorating a cake in a raised and ecstatic tone of voice. The video quickly took off after landing on the For You page and being viewed upward of 44 million times.

From there, his account gained over 1 million followers within a 24-hour timeframe, according to BuzzFeed. “I honestly couldn’t believe how fast that account blew up—I still can’t believe it,” Johnson told the publication in an interview.

Despite success online, according to BuzzFeed news, the viral star is currently living and recording videos out of his car in Indiana, after being evicted months ago by his Michigan landlord following consistent noise complaints on Johnson and his ex-girlfriend, Jillian. It is reported that neighbors had called the police on the couple after overhearing shouting matches between the two on numerous occasions.

Jillian says that neighbors could often only hear Johnson due to his voice which is much louder than hers. No charges were brought against either party.

The couple shared that considering past disputes, they are on good terms now and have spent time apart to “come to common ground.” They are working on improving their relationship and their status as co-parents for their two children.

As for his online persona, he doesn’t plan on stopping the account anytime soon. He says that @angryreactions is merely another side of him that the outside world may not often get to see.

“If I passed you on the street and I don’t say a word, I look like the angriest person in the world. But when you actually get to know me, I’m actually a really positive person,” he told BuzzFeed. “With all the bad things going on in the world right now, I think it’s teaching all of us to appreciate positivity much more.”
