Teenage influencer Danielle Cohn once again stoked controversy over her real age when she suggested during a recent Instagram live stream that she was only 14.
Cohn has developed a massive following across multiple social media platforms, including 18.3 million TikTok followers and 4.7 million Instagram followers. Her risqué posts have been a source of controversy, as has her relationship with 18-year-old TikToker Mikey Tua.
Another point of contention has been Cohn’s age. While she and her mother Jennifer Archambault insist she is 16, Cohn’s father, Dustin, claimed last year that she was 13. That would make Cohn 14 now.
The social media star seemed to reinforce her father’s claim during a recent Instagram live stream, reposted by @tiktokroom, in which she answered fans’ questions.
Responding to a user who asked if she wanted to have kids with Tua, Cohn said, “Yeah, I mean, of course I do. Obviously not right now, you know, ’cause right now would be not the best time to do that. But obviously in, I don’t know, like, five or six years, maybe? When I’m, like, 19 or 20.”
If taken literally, Cohn’s response would mean she is 14 right now.
“SHE JUST ADMITTED SHE’S 14,” one Instagram user commented on @tiktokroom’s post.
“5 or 6 years she’ll be 19 or 20? did she just expose herself LMAO,” another said.
In a statement to Insider, Cohn’s mother refuted that the teen revealed her true age.
“She said maybe in five years and then said 18 or 19—that’s not admitting she is 14,” Archambault said. “She didn’t admit anything and she is confused on why this is such a big deal. She said just now that she messed up on the math.”
Archambault found herself in hot water last month following the leak of an audio clip in which she said she “allowed” Cohn to have an abortion.
On July 20, Cohn uploaded a 31-minute YouTube video titled “The Truth About My Abortion” in which she confirmed that she terminated a pregnancy in January. Cohn received an outpouring of support for the video, while others accused Archambault of being unfit to care for her.
“This CHILD has been groomed and oversexualised by adults she trusted,” one user commented at the time. “She needs to be taken somewhere where she can be cared about and receive therapy. Her mum failed her daughter.”
