Niagara Falls is a big tourist attraction, even in the winter. But never before has its frozen glory been captured from the angles a highly agile drone can provide.
NBC decided to take on that challenge, and the result is an absolutely breathtaking glimpse of one of nature’s many seasonal gifts.
From its towering altitude, the drone captures some fantastic sights, and the massive icebergs created by the falls look otherworldly. Of course, it’s not particularly hard to create massive ice structures when an average of more than 84,000 cubic feet of water—or just over 634,000 gallons—plummets off the edge every second.
