In every adolescence there is an awkward phase. At one point or another our bodies have been oddly shaped, our faces have been adorned with braces, and our fashion choices have been regrettable. But thankfully, most of us blossom out of these brief ugly-duckling stints and come out on the other side a beautiful swan ready to selfie like there’s no tomorrow.

To celebrate these transformations from fumbling to flawless, users on Vine began compiling photos of themselves that showcase their metamorphosis.

These photo montages, which are tagged as #transformationtuesday or #transformationthursday, are usually scored with Drake’s 2014 track “How About Now.” With lyrics like “Yeah, you ain’t really fuck with me way back then, girl/But how ’bout now?/Cause I’m up right now, and you stuck right now,” the track is the perfect tune to taunt those that ignored or bullied you in your most awkward days.

But since nothing is sacred online, trolls have begun co-opting these #transformation posts and turning in works of comedy. Instead of featuring photos of gangly tweens growing into lovely young ladies, these Internet scoundrels have taken photos of celebrities and morphed them into the hilariously unthinkable.
