Since “selfie” was declared word of the year in 2013, mobile photographers all over the world have been constantly one-upping their game. Now, it’s about to go one step down.

Last year, the selfie stick craze allowed people to take self-photography to great heights. For 2015, there’s a new invention that hopes to take selfies to, quite literally, a lower level—it’s called the Belfie Stick.

What is a belfie, you ask? It’s selfie of your booty, a term made popular by female celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj, who enjoy flaunting what they’ve obviously got in excess. Duh.

You would normally need to aim your camera at your reflection in a mirror to make this shot even possible, or make like a pretzel and take a no-look snapshot over your shoulder or behind your back. But thanks to the Belfie Stick, all your butt-picture-taking hassles are gone.

Worried about breaking your device? The Belfie Stick is made of sturdy titanium steel, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally dropping your phone mid-belfie. It also features a unique bendable design for getting a prime angle, and comes armed with a Bluetooth button, which we can only assume makes it easier to share belfies between devices.

And who do we have to thank for such a nifty little tool? The selfie pros from photo social networking site ON.com, who reportedly polled more than 10,000 selfie aficionados and found that there’s a real demand for something to make backside shots easier to take. So real, in fact, that if you visit the Belfie Stick website today, you will discover that it is currently out of stock. Not to worry though; you can pre-order it for $80 and have it arrive sometime this year.
