The 49-year-old announced that she hopes this will “ease someone’s plans during this time.”

“My heart is breaking for all the brides out their having to cancel and postpone their special day,” Blakely wrote. “So I thought why not offer my dress to more amazing women!”

In her announcement, Blakely said she lent her dress to two other brides in the past. She wrote that she once lent the dress to a good friend and once to a girl she just met on a hiking trail.

“I know we just met, and this may sound strange,” Blakely said to Nataly Dawn, the newly engaged stranger. “But you can borrow my wedding dress if you want to.”

She wrote that Dawn initially declined her offer, but she reached out a year later and asked to borrow the dress days before her wedding due to an altering malfunction.

“Reminding me to never second guess that voice inside,” Blakely wrote. “I was meant to offer her my dress just didn’t know why at the time.”

Blakely wrote that the dress will fit sizes 4 or 6 and encouraged her followers to tag brides-to-be and share her post.

“It’s not Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, it’s Sisterhood of the Traveling Wedding dress,” Spanx Instagram wrote in a repost.

Since her announcement, others have joined Blakey in lending their wedding dresses.

Others are criticizing the billionaire businesswoman, saying this is not the best way to help.
