The company announced on Wednesday that the new feature will be available at the top of the News Feed within the next 24 hours.

“We’ve taken steps to make sure everyone has access to accurate information, stop misinformation and harmful content, and support global health experts, local governments, businesses and communities,” Facebook said on its website.

Facebook said in a press release that the center will give people “resources and tips to stay healthy and support their family and community.”

The center will promote articles, videos, and posts about preventing the spread of the virus, such as the importance of social distancing. It will also publish the latest updates from public officials and health authorities.

Facebook said the new coronavirus information center will also give people the opportunity to connect with others in their community to ask or to offer help.

The information center will be available in the U.S., Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and the U.K.

It will expand to other countries in the future.
