It’s been nearly two weeks since the protests in Hong Kong have shut down its downtown district, and from the looks of a new timelapse video, the crowds only seem to be growing.

The video was produced by the South China Morning Post and shows the ebb and flow of protesters calling for China’s socialist government to keep their hands off Hong Kong’s democratic ambitions.

The protests have been called Occupy Central and the #UmbrellaRevolution, the latter referencing the use of umbrellas by protesters to protect against police tear gas and rain.

The protests have also resulted in the Chinese government banning Instagram and blocking terms like #OccupyCentral, “Occupy Central,” and #OccupyHK from Weibo, China’s most popular social media platform.
