Kaitlin Bennett—the Kent State gun girl—called for an armed insurrection at institutions of higher learning after being booed at Ohio University.

Yesterday, Bennett posted a video of her visit to Ohio, where she was booed while walking around campus and leaving in a car, with protesters throwing beverages at her and banging on the windows.

In her post, Bennett called the students “terrorists.” Bennett said she was hit with hot coffee, and in one video, she gets a roll of toilet paper thrown on her.

Bennett was, according to Campus Reform, going to shoot a Presidents’ Day video, planning on asking students trivia such as “who were the first 3 presidents?”

The backlash sparked a number of standard tweets from right-leaning posters who decreed the lack of civility on college campuses.

Numerous Ohio University students shared videos of the protest against Bennett on TikTok.

Determined, apparently, to see if kids could list Washington, Adams, and Jefferson, Bennett said she would return to Ohio University, only this time with an armed militia.

“I will absolutely be returning to @ohiou‘s campus again, and next time I’ll bring an army of gun owners for an open carry walk through campus. You can’t keep us away and you can’t keep us silent. Just like Donald Trump, we will always win,” she wrote.

If that sounds like a call for an armed insurrection because of a group of people didn’t want her on a college that she doesn’t attend, well, it certainly could be interpreted that way.

Which is how many people interpreted it.

Collins doesn’t attend Ohio University, and although it’s public land, as of press time most social media users seem to agree that calling for a parade of gun owners through a school just because you got booed at a place you didn’t need to be at is an overreaction.
