An Instagram-famous model is claiming that Tinder deleted her account because users didn’t think she was real.

According to the Sun, 26-year-old Holly Valentine joined the app as a way to meet people from all over the world. The Los Angeles-based model, who has more than a million followers on Instagram, said she frequently travels for work.

Valentine said she spent the additional $86 to get the premium version of the Tinder app, allowing her to view and swipe on people outside of her immediate area.

Valentine told the Daily Dot that she couldn’t have been on the app for more than two hours before effectively banned. She said after first logging in, she matched with a few people, saw previews for their messages, and then went on to binge-watch Game of Thrones.

When she went back to check the app, she was locked out.

“The previews [of messages] that I did see were ‘you’re probably not real,’ ‘why would a girl like you be on tinder,’” Valentine told the Sun. “I didn’t even get to meet anyone or even really use the app!”

She said she believed the account was reported for catfishing, and that’s why her account was banned.

She tried contacting both Tinder and Apple to see if she could get back into her account—or at least get a refund. She said she got no response from Tinder and an automated message from Apple saying there was nothing they could do.

Valentine said she would still be open to trying other dating apps because she feels she would be safer dating with an app while traveling.

Tinder did not immediately respond to the Daily Dot’s request for comment.
