Sixty percent of the stuff you see online these days is either Photoshopped or a complete, elaborate hoax altogether, but when it involves a tiny little tyke in green shorts and green shirt dancing like he’s at a Too $hort concert and thrusting his pelvis to and fro, it doesn’t really matter whether it’s a product of reality or not.
Such an exception must be made exclusively for this exact vine, which was posted to the Internet Monday but seemed to blow up this morning. Already, the dancing kid is shrouded in mystery. Is he real? Is he fake? Where did this kid get those moves? Does he want to do one of those Levi’s Crazy Legs commercials?
Sporting News video host Rayven Tirado, who posted the vine to her Twitter account Monday, said she got it from an old coworker with the Miami Marlins, and that it happened at Marlins Park earlier this season. But a source within MLB Advanced Media has told The Score’s Josh Gold-Smith that it’s fabricated.
“All I’m saying is… if that is real, someone here would have seen it before now,” the source confided.
The fandom is divided.
@_Cooper No consensus. There are #MarlinsKid truthers, and #MarlinsKid believers. Lines are drawn, but I have seen zero conclusive evidence

To which we’d like to quote the great writer Tim O’Brien: “Story-truth is truer sometimes than happening-truth.”
Dancing Marlins Kid, America. Just let it happen to you.
