At tonight’s Democratic debate, as the conversation moved to healthcare, Andrew Yang cracked an off-color joke.
“I’m Asian, so I know a lot of doctors,” Yang said, while discussing mounting paperwork doctors face.

This comment came as Yang was given a moment to talk about his plan for healthcare.
“[Doctors] tell me they spend a lot of time on paperwork, avoiding being sued and navigating the insurance bureaucracy,” Yang sai.
Yang said he wants to “take the pressure off the backs of the American people” by running healthcare like a business. “We have to change the incentive so instead of revenue and activity, people are focused on our health.”
Still, Twitter couldn’t get over Yang’s use of his race.
