Vergil Ortiz Jr. might be the best boxing prospect that most mainstream fans don’t know much about. But so far in his three-year career, Ortiz has shown that he is a powerful puncher with an instinct for highlight-reel knockouts. Ortiz is also plenty of fun to watch, which is why it’s a good idea to stream Ortiz’s fight vs. Antonio Orozco on DAZN on Saturday night.

Ortiz is 13-0 with 13 knockouts, but he’s never faced a solid opponent in his prime like Orozco (28-1, 17 KOs). If Ortiz isn’t mentally or physically ready for this matchup, Orozco could make life difficult for him (or even spoil his undefeated record). But if Ortiz is properly prepared, you can expect explosive fireworks from the 147-pound prospect.

Here’s everything you need to know to live stream the Ortiz vs. Orozco fight on DAZN.

What is DAZN?

The only legal way to watch Ortiz vs. Orozco is on DAZN. Since last September, the streaming service has put on some of the most important fights in boxing. Though Canelo Alvarez, boxing’s biggest star, has been playing tug-of-war with the service regarding his next opponent and though it’s causing a potential rift between him and his promoter, DAZN featured him beating one of the top middleweight contenders in Daniel Jacobs a few months ago. DAZN also showcased Andy Ruiz upsetting Anthony Joshua for the heavyweight championship (DAZN will also show the rematch in December), and it broadcast Gennadiy Golovkin’s streaming service debut in June.

DAZN costs $19.99 per month or $99.99 for the entire year, but for fight fans, it’s been worth it. It streams more than 100 fight cards per year, and you can watch some of the best fighters in the world (Alvarez, Joshua, and Golovkin) and some of the potential rising stars (Regis Prograis, Devin Haney, and Ortiz). DAZN says it’s doing its best to try to kill the longtime boxing PPV model, but another perk of a subscription is getting to watch fights like Ortiz vs. Orozco that should get your blood pounding as the fists begin flying.

DAZN works with RokuApple TVAmazon Fire Stick and Fire TVXbox One, PlayStation 4, and both iOS and Android phones. All you have to do is download the DAZN app and log-in with your subscription credentials. You can also stream via computer browsers Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Internet Explorer, and Opera. Ortiz vs. Orozco: Why it matters

Ortiz—a seven-time national amateur champion—has been dominant since he made his pro debut in 2016. In his last fight, the 21-year-old beat up the best opponent of his career, knocking out a former world title challenger in Mauricio Herrera who had never been stopped before. Ortiz was destructive, to say the least.

Now, Ortiz has another solid challenger in Orozco, who has solid victories vs. Humberto Soto and Martin Honorio. But in his biggest fight, Orozco fell by wide unanimous decision in a 140-pound title match vs. Jose Ramirez. So, we know Orozco can beat B- and C-level fighters. But if Ortiz is better than that—and since he’s an 11/1 betting favorite, the oddsmakers believe that he is—Ortiz can certainly show it to his opponent.

“I’m not here to mess around,” Ortiz said at a press conference this week. “Golden Boy [Promotions] has given me some tough fights and I have passed them with flying colors … Orozco is a very tough opponent, I’m not taking him lightly at all. He deserves all the respect in the world, especially on that ring. It’s sink or swim … good thing I’m a good swimmer.”

Orozco, though, said his loss to Ramirez was actually a good thing for his career and will help him in his meeting with Ortiz.

“After the Ramirez fight, I think I found out exactly what I’m about,” Orozco said, via RingTV.com. “I faced a fighter in Ramirez, and I pushed myself until the fight was finished. I think that says a lot about myself. We’re going to bring that same passion Saturday night.”

Ortiz has never been pushed past five rounds before. Perhaps Orozco can force him into the second half of the fight, but it seems probable that at some point, Ortiz will put Orozco on the canvas to stay.
